Working for Starbucks Enterprise Video Collaboration team, will expose you to some of the leading-edge broadcast and conference technology, hardware and software industry at its best!This position contributes to Starbucks success by ensuring the stability of enterprise wide information technology systems and networks by assisting with problem identification and analysis, solution design, solution implementation, problem resolution, and system lifecycle management. Assists with second and third level support of a continuously-operational production environment. Works under direct supervision of a manager. This role is an Engineering position where the responsibilities begin to include foundational design and implementation responsibilities in addition to operational support. This role also continues to build upon a System Admin focus of incident resolution and proactive patching of hardware and software assets within the Global Technology footprint. This role provides an opportunity to consult on solution design and implementation in partnership with senior Systems Engineers. An effective Systems Engineer will be able to have expertise in support but also provide input into design as well as assist on implementation execution. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. Summary of Experience 4 to 6 years of Systems Engineering experience supporting collaboration tools across a distributed workforce Solid understanding of Office 365 Experience managing and supporting Exchange Online and Skype for Business Experience managing video conferencing solutions: Skype for Business, BlueJeans Knowledge and understanding of collaboration tools: Workplace Live, Skype/Teams Understanding of protocols and codecs: SIP, WebRTC, H.264, RTMP, MPEG-DASH, HLS, PBX, VoIP Experience working with Polycom, Crestron, and Cisco video conferencing device Strong ability to troubleshoot audio and video issues for video conferencing technologies. Knowledge and experiencing of broadcast technologies such as Skype Meeting Broadcast Experience working under pressure Knowledge with networking principles and technologies including routing, load balancing, firewalls, and DNS. Solid understanding of Active Directory and Active Directory integration Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ideal candidate would have education and/or equivalent experience in a prior Systems Engineer position Ability to use knowledge, sound judgment, and resourcefulness to support the design and deployment of global technology solutions Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
