Primary Location: US-WA-Seattle-Starbucks Support CenterStarbucks - Audit Job Summary and Mission This job contributes to Starbucks success by planning, performing, driving the production and reporting of audits of accounting, financial and operational data and processes to verify compliance with established standards and controls, and to identify process improvement opportunities. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. Summary of Key Responsibilities Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Has primary responsibility for audit scopes, schedules and budgets for individual audit projects, programs and procedures Manages and monitors project or program schedules, progress, and costs to ensure that expected results are delivered on time and within budget. Maintains, adjusts and updates project plans as needed. Consolidates, communicates and ensures resolution of all issues. May develop and collect performance metrics Provides written and verbal communication of audit findings to management. Leads audit team and coordinates project team performance feedback processes Provides direction to less experienced audit partners and takes an active role in their professional development Summary of Experience Public accounting, financial reporting, internal audit, forensic accounting, information systems or loss prevention (4 years) Advanced degrees or professional certification in one or more of the following is encouraged but not required: CPA, CISA, CIA, CMA, CFA Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing Strong business knowledge of the company or industry Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to provide direction and guidance to others Knowledge of auditing processes Knowledge of internal controls Ability to perform risk analysis Ability to interact with senior management and communicate at all levels of the organization Fundamental knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Core Competencies Puts the Customer First: Has a relentless focus on the customer.
