Job Summary and Mission: This job contributes to success by driving the $150M U.S. Licensed Stores Bakery and Ready to Drink categories. Licensed Stores offers the opportunity to join a high caliber team with independent decision making, breadth of work from strategy to execution, access to both marketing and category functions, and exposure to world class companies. Licensed Stores represent 40% of Starbucks North America store portfolio. Summary of Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Business Management: Manages the product line business against operating plans and budgets. Forecasts, tracks, analyzes and communicates business performance vs. expectations. Provides meaningful insight and recommends action plans to address variances in performance against annual plan Creates and presents the business case for new programs to support growth strategies and profitability targets. Makes recommendations regarding product objectives, strategy, and tactics Manages supply chain execution for all products, including sales forecasting and leadership of cross functional supply planning team Marketing & Promotions: Creates and\/or provides input to recommendations regarding marketing plan objectives, strategy, messaging, and tactics Provides input to consumer positioning and creative brief development Identifies and quantifies specific product drivers in support of marketing calendar strategies Product & Program Innovation: Manages project teams and timelines to deliver products and programs. Develops strong relationships with cross functional partners in order to ensure successful launch of products and programs Contributes to the innovation strategy reflecting competitive and consumer trends and market needs May assist in the creation of and maintenance of platform\/product positioning and guardrails ensuring relevancy across licensee partners Basic Qualifications: 3 years of progressive experience in brand or category management 2 years of experience in financial forecasting, in-depth analytics, business case development, and P&L management Experience leading the development and implementation of new or existing products or strategies MBA preferred Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Working knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, assortment planning and inventory management Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing Ability to apply strategic and critical thinking to resolve issues Ability to build strong relationships within a matrix structure Ability to influence others without authority Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines Starbucks and its brands are an equal opportunity employer of all qualified individuals, including minorities, women, veterans & individuals with disabilities.
