Primary Location: US-WA-Seattle-Starbucks Support CenterStarbucks - Project/Product/Program Management Job Summary and Mission This position contributes to Starbucks success by leading human interface design across digital products. Defines the strategy for visual and interaction design guidelines that support a world class digital experience for both customers and partners and reflect the look, feel and tone of the Starbucks brand. Represents overarching digital products design strategy and initiatives to cross-functional partners in order to execute product vision.Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. Summary of Key Responsibilities Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Works closely with leadership and other HI team members to ensure consistent execution of the user experience Shepherds the design process, drives decisions and tracks issues Actively participate in evolving HI team strategy, discovering and piloting new tools and resources that support innovative design Works closely with product teams to uncover business needs and develop design strategies Leads and contributes with design team on the creation of an entire product Partners with business owners and product development teams to ensure the user experience exceeds stakeholder and end user objectives Partners closely with product management, developers, quality assurance and functional analysts to execute against the current roadmap and identify new opportunities Liaisons with creative leaders to understand brand direction and strategy and gain approvals where needed Serves as functional expert on emerging digital experiences, interaction paradigms and design trends, keeping team informed of evolution within industry and leveraging this to identify opportunities for user experience enhancements Leads a team of human interface designers who participate in cross-functional project teams Encourages creative experimentation and exploration to identify creative solutions to complex problems Participates in recruiting and team development across the digital products organization Summary of Experience Relevant, platform specific experience in user-centered design and development Leading high performing design and/or product teams (7 years) Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design or related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (4 years) Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities Working familiarity with design tools including PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign Knowledge of After Effects and Sketch a plus Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal Ability to work both independently on projects and to collaborate as a contributing team member Detail oriended and able to manage multiple, critucal tasks concurrently Starbucks and its brands are an equal opportunity employer of all qualified individuals, including minorities, women, veterans & individuals with disabilities.
