Challenge yourself, your peers and our industry by shaping what health care looks like and doing your life's best work.(sm) This position will be responsible for managing a team of analysts working on vendor and workforce management analytics. This position will be the liaison between analysts and a leadership team and be involved with leadership team decisions. The workforce management team collaborates with all functional teams within the operation to forecast, plan, monitor and adjust work plans. The vendor management team works with our key vendors to monitor performance, set processes, correct issues and communicate with both the business and vendors. Primary Responsibilities: Motivates and inspires team members Sets team direction, resolves problems and provides guidance to team members Serves as a key resource on complex and / or critical issues; solves problems and develops innovative solutions Conducts and manages outcomes of various projects that include analyzing, reviewing, forecasting, trending, and presenting information for operational and business planning Support short and long term operational / strategic business activities - by developing, enhancing and maintaining operational information and models Manager works within Operations and collaborates with managerial peers to address business needs of department Manages and is accountable for professional employees and / or supervisors Required Qualifications:Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required 5 years of workforce management experience - managing work volumes and resources, building and monitoring backlog reduction and contingency plans along with creating and supporting short and long-term work management plans in a transactional environment necessary Experience with database management 5 years in leadership rolePreferred Qualifications:Experience managing a team of analystsCareers at UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement.
