Web Integration Specialist to develop and administer integration between backend systems (ERP, WMS, etc) and consumer facing web applications. This position will require close collaboration with IT, Operations and Marketing teams as well as interacting with executive level decision makers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Writing well designed, testable, maintainable, and efficient code using current technologies and practices.

Building reusable code and libraries for future repeated use

Implementation of security and data protection

A solid knowledge how web application integration including session management and best development practices

Knowledge of relational database schemas, Object Oriented Programming and web application development that represent and support

business processes

Data migration, transformation and scripting

Management of hosting environments, including SQL administration

Understanding of fundamental principles behind a scalable application

Ability to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests that mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types

Identifying problems uncovered by customer feedback and testing and correcting or referring problems to the appropriate personnel for correction

Strong organizational skills to Manage multiple concurrent Projects

Ability to work in a fast paced environment and master diverse web technologies and techniques

Assist in posting web documents and media content as needed

Work with the IT department to maintain robust web server security standards, to train and provide meaningful documentation in support of continual upkeep of the Interfaces

Act as the point of escalation in answering technical inquiries relating to data integration and migration and assist to troubleshoot and resolve any website issues

Advising on new technologies and methodologies.

Optimizing performance and scalability

Programming, updating, and managing server-side code.

Integration with third-party APIs and existing frameworks.

Skills & Requirements

5 years of progressive website development and related experience

Associate’s degree in web development or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred or equivalent technical training and experience

Knowledge of server, network, and hosting environments

Wireframe/layout a website or web application

Working knowledge of some of the following: HTML5, CSS, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, MySql, PHP, Python, Java, .NET, Ruby, C , LAMP stack etc.

Functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services REST, SOAP, etc.

Familiarity with security precautions across web applications

Experience with Ecommerce sites and platforms

Experience with various CMS platforms

Working knowledge developing cross platform/browser compatibility (IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc.)

Work comfortably with a version control

Willingness and ability to learn and utilize various software applications

Dedicated team player

Solid ability in both written and verbal communication

Able to develop ideas and processes and clearly express them

High degree of independent judgment

Able to solve complex problems
