Description Job Title Warehouse Specialist- 5PM Shift (8% Shift Differential) Location Carol Stream, IL, US Organization Name 98 Chicago RDC Department Description Distribution Center Brief Description A key warehousing position for teammates with excellent performance and a well-rounded knowledge of all warehouse functions Detailed Description Works in any/all areas of the warehouse to include shipping, receiving, put-away, inventory control, slotting etc. Ensures efficiency of the warehouse is maintained at all times. Teammates promoted into this position must: Have worked in all areas of the warehouse. Exhibit a willingness to expand their responsibilities Have maintained a performance rating of 4 or 5 Have a solid attendance record Have flexibility in their hours Successful completion of all training modules resulting in certification  Be certified on all equipment  Have maintained an acceptable preventable accident record  Have achieved an outstanding productivity level  Have reached and maintained pre-set goals as established by management  Be knowledgeable in all areas they will be training others on ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Observes loading of pallets to determine conformance to loading patterns and to prevent shifting or damage to medical and surgical supplies during transit. Verifies materials loaded or unloaded against work order or bill of lading. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Operates any material handling equipment safely and efficiently as required. Notes and reports any damage or malfunction and connects battery to recharging station at the end of the shift. Ensures all shipping/receiving documents and functions are completed accurately and timely. Keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Checks outbound shipments for accuracy and readiness for customer delivery. Recommends measures to improve production methods, quality of product, and suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency of the warehouse. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists teammates in solving work problems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS(Cont'd) 10. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate teammates to achieve work goals. 11. Fills customer orders and delivers items to the delivery platform in a manner that meets Company standards for safety, security and productivity. Ensures all orders are complete and correct. 12. Maintains accurate warehouse inventory count, researches receiving/shipping discrepancies, checks product recall and expired products, receives /puts away customer returns, researches proof of delivery and unit of measure errors and performs cycle counts of RF units. 13. Provides training to warehouse teammates in any/all areas of the warehouse. 14. Maintains flexible hours as required in order to ensure customer needs are met. SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS: May schedule delivery routes. May conduct physical inventories as required. Performs labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing and re-packing for shipment as needed. Performs additional duties as directed. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION & FORMAL TRAINING: General knowledge of a variety of basic topics, such as math, reading, basic accounting, typing, etc. Equal to a high school diploma. Successful completion of all company warehouse training modules resulting in certification. Certified on all warehouse machinery. B.
