Warehouse Forklift Operator

Purpose: Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of warehouse forklift operator, to be located in our Hazleton, Pennsylvania plant. The operator has the responsibility to safely load and unload trucks in our warehouse along with relocate produced materials throughout the warehouse and property.

Responsibilities -- At the direction of the warehouse supervisor:

Uphold forklift certification and testing

Complete lift safety audits and inspections of mobile equipment

Load and unload all materials essential for shipping

Safely and properly tarp loads when needed

Shuttle product

Use and understand fall protection

All employees are expected to follow Johns Manville safety policy and procedures. Additional responsibilities or tasks may be assigned at the discretion of the shipping supervisor.


Basic computer

Problem solving

Ability to shift priorities as demands require

Understand FIFO and lot codes


Reports directly to the warehouse supervisors

Speak with internal and external drivers


3-5 years forklift experience

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
