WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS MANAGER - CATERING

Essential Duties

Oversee all aspects of inventory management to ensure financial and customer requirements are met.

Handle all company and customer owned merchandise received until it is issued to production.

Determine par levels and order quantities based on airline specifications, menus and vendor lead time.

Track product usage and yields in relation to ordering requirements.

Coordinate and participate in inventory and reporting processes.

Handle all Customs paperwork (for example: Vessel Supplies for Immediate Exportation (VSAI) and Bond requirements as needed.

Maintain regulatory compliance standards (examples: US Customs, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), etc.)

Leadership

Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed.

Maintain an effective internal delivery systems to deliver to all internal customers on time and in correct quantities.

Guide, motivate and develop the subordinate employees within the Human Resources Policy.

Make the company's values and management principles live in the department(s).

Plan / Implement and control the cost budget in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations.

Role Purpose Statement

Job incumbent is responsible for managing the inventory, ordering, receiving, storage, issuance and delivery of beverage, some food items, and equipment products.

Minimum Requirements

Work Experience

In addition, three to five years directly related operational experience.

Thorough understanding of inventory management, warehouse management and material handling.

Basic knowledge of Demand Planning and Vendor Management.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing and supply chain management.

Proven success in improving work processes, leading change and role models positive behaviors as well as change agent skills in a complex and fast paced environment.

Established ability to identify the vision and produces goals with realistic plans to achieve them.

Ability to interact with employees, customers and vendors at all levels.

Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Excellent analytical and conceptual skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary.

Candidate should be comfortable with all levels of employees and have the ability to drive positive program change.

Must be a Team builder with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse management and hourly staff.

Must have strong and effective leadership skills.

Excellent problem solving skills, planning and scheduling capabilities managing multiple account requirements.

Ability to effectively manage multiple operations while maintaining compliance in a heavy regulated environment e.g. FDA, HACCP and security.

Advanced Microsoft office tool skills (excel, word).

Knowledge of quality auditing, inspection methods.

Detail oriented and excellent project management skills.

Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task.

Change Agent.

Communication Skills

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with multiple departments and customers.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

Able to obtain an AOA badge and customs.
