As a Visual Merchandising, Senior Sales Associate at Athleta, you are a brand advocate for Athleta Retail Stores.You model and lead through the lens of the brand mission and values.You create the store environment in a way that engages, motivates, and inspires a customer-centric culture.You are responsible for assisting the Leaders in driving team focus on visual excellence, while also contributing, supporting, and executing the overall store vision and strategies.

You partner with the Leaders to execute on merchandise product lines, brand marketing messages, and key assortment plans, while helping to execute a brand-right customer service experience that exceeds expectations and sets Athleta apart from the competition.

As a change leader, in a growth brand, you accept change swiftly to impact store objectives. You embrace learning agility by demonstrating your desire to learn and change with a growth mindset by seeking new information, ideas, experiences, and self-awareness. You report directly to the Product Leader and play a role in offering recommendations that support the overall health and success of the business.


As a Sales Associate, you embody Athleta’s culture and values in all aspects of the job. Youunderstand the holistic mindset of the Athleta brand and can bring it to life everyday through creating a unique-to-brand shopping experience.

You consistently treat everyone with respect and contribute to a positive work environment. You have a customer first mindset always; authentically engaging and connecting with customers by asking open-ended questions to assess and meet their individual needs and make relevant merchandise/styling suggestions.

You have the ability to do what's right while balancing brand policy guidelines to promote an in-service mindset

You stay current on all product knowledge and communicate features and benefits to customers to build customer knowledge and confidence in the product

You assist customers in finding out-of-stock items via Omni channels; kiosk, catalog, mobile.

You execute Omni initiatives to support the customer experience; Online Orders (Ship from Store), Online Reservations (Reserve in Store).

You take daily direction from the CORE Leader

You establish & maintain effective relationships with employees and customers.

You demonstrate a “can do attitude, with drive and passion to sell and achieve all goals


Your previous experience has allowed you to develop your problem-solving, effective communication & relationship building skills.

You have experience in a customer-facing role and thrive in customer centric environments.

Your previous Merchandising experience is a plus.


Minimum 6 months previous retail experience preferred


Some college preferred

Physical Requirements:

Ability to travel as required

Ability to work nights and weekends as appropriate to schedule requirements

Ability to lift and carry 30lbs

Ability to maneuver around sales floor, back room and office areas
