The Visual Merchandise Manager will support \u201cBrand CORT\u201d by maintaining consistent showroom design and presentation in the Rental Showroom.  Create the ultimate shopping experience in the retail centers which will increases sales while maintaining margin requirements.  Educate the field and management on merchandise and visual strategies.  
Develop and roll out training for the field through presentations and modules.
This position is an important part of the merchandise team.  They must maintain comprehensive knowledge of current vendors, product lines, and industry trends.  The position communicates CORT programs to the field and solicits input from the field on programs. 

Work with the merchandise manager to develop 2-D and 3-D plans for the rental showrooms according to the rental showroom standards.
Plans are developed using the Matrix
Communicate plans with district and merchandise manager
Confirm showroom is complete through images, video, etc. from the district.
Travel to the \u201cbig 12 cities\u201d to implement the plan
Install all new showrooms and renovations as needed.  
Merchandise Manager is responsible for implementing the plan and ultimately the showroom condition and displays. Work with the Merchandise Manager to assure that the plan is completed. 

Work with the merchandise manager develop 2-D block plans for the retail showrooms according to the retail showroom standards.  .
Plan are developed using price point for used and specifying location for all new product.
Communicate plans with district and merchandise manager
Confirm showroom is complete through images, video, etc. from the district.
Merchandise Manager is responsible for the condition and implementing the plan. Work with the Merchandise Manager to assure that this plan is complete. 

Develop and implement finish schedule for new and renovated showrooms. 
Work with Marketing to implement and maintain Rental and Retail POP.  Order Pop and Showroom Signage.  
Work with Real estate on new showroom space plans and as needed.  
Develop and maintain presentation of the housewares product and signage.  Develop communication for the field.
Enhance the Retail Modules and help educate the field on retail merchandise techniques though on line training.     
Stay current in showroom design and color trends so you can develop and maintain the \u201cedge\u201d in our showrooms.
Develop a calendar to insure that key showrooms are re-merchandised annually.  All showrooms will be re-merchandised according to need.  Visual Merchandise Manager will confirm schedule with the VP Merchandising. 
Work with the VP of Merchandising on photography needs.    


Bachelor's degree in merchandising, design, visual arts or related area.
5 years experience as a visual merchant or in a related visual role.
Furniture industry experience is preferred.
Proficient in CAD and 3-D programs.
Must be willing to travel 40%.
Ability to work with others.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
