The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for real estate business-to-business consultative selling of due diligence services (Property Condition Assessments, Environmental Site Assessments, Zoning Compliance, Seismic Survey’s, and Construction Monitoring).

The target market is Agency Lenders, Mortgage Brokers, Institutional Mortgagees, Investors, Life Insurance Companies, Pension Advisors, Asset Managers, REITs, and Corporate Real Estate Departments.


Expand current book of business internally and externally within different market segments.

Make face-to-face consistent sales calls to develop and maintain industry contacts and build/strengthen relationships.

Follow-up on hot/organic sales leads.

Source leads to generate new client relationships.

Use consultative sales techniques and critical thinking skills to foster new client acquisition.

Balance the development of new business relationships while maintaining existing customers.

Conduct sales presentations, prepare and present educational seminars within market segments, and assist with the preparation of proposals.

Develop and maintain a reputable profile externally and within the industry.

Attend industry functions.


5 years of consultative sales experience in real estate.

Experience with prospecting new clients.

Track record of exceeding sales targets.

Strong sense of urgency; ability to drive decision-making. Possess a hunter mentality.

Strong PC software knowledge including internet searches, databases and CRM programs.


Ability to travel and attend evening events.

Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and presentation skills.
