Description Job Overview: The Trade Area Vice President (VP) is responsible for effectively strategizing and leading the execution of business priorities to achieve financial results in the primary store\/trade area. The Trade Area VP is responsible for directly managing their primary store and, in addition, has General Managers in the trade area as direct reports. As a consistent role model, coach, and communicator, the Trade Area VP sets the standard for an outstanding customer shopping experience and drives the engagement of our workforce. The Trade Area VP cultivates an empowered and equipped management team, building omnichannel competency to acquire and retain long-term, high value customers. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Functions: \u2022 Deliver performance metrics to plan in store and trade area: Sales, Net Promoter Score,Loyallist, Client Sales, Staffing and Fulfillment \u2022 Effectively manage controllable profit and loss, including expense and shortage \u2022 Capitalize on key business opportunities (trends, vendors, classifications, events) with senior team and trade area partners \u2022 Execute central strategies with appropriate localization for the customer \u2022 Develop collaborative and results-producing relationships with central business partners \u2022 Set clear expectations for leadership behavior and accountability for results; empower others to make decisions \u2022 Lead by example as an active coach, providing ongoing feedback and guidance \u2022 Effectively communicate priorities and business-driving information to ensure leadership is aligned and equipped to maximize opportunities \u2022 Cultivate a customer centric store and trade area culture;be a vocal advocate for needed improvements to support the in-store customer experience \u2022 Require and champion use of selling technology to support a seamless customer experience; ensure the team optimizes the use of tool and processes \u2022 Drive store associate engagement by building teams committed to a diverse and inclusive environment, supporting a culture of learning and development,and providing consistent and feedback that drives employee engagement and retention \u2022 Create a strategic succession plan that accelerates and develops talent \u2022 Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality Qualifications: Education\/Experience: \u2022Bachelor\u2019s Degree preferred with 10-15 years of Store Leadership\/ retail business unit experience preferred. Communication Skills: \u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills. \u2022 Ability to read, write and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills: \u2022 Must have above average mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Reasoning Ability: \u2022 Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions. \u2022 Strong critical thinker with a strategic mindset. \u2022 Proven ability to put in place multifaceted retail strategies that support and drive business outcomes. Physical Demands: \u2022 This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking. \u2022 May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. \u2022 May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time. \u2022 Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. \u2022 May involve moving or lifting items under 10 pounds. Other Skills: \u2022 Strong leadership profile, business acumen and customer service orientation. \u2022 A proven influencer with experience leading in a dynamic, fast paced store retail environment.
