The world-wide sales leader that fills this role will manage global resources and partners to drive top line growth in the fast-paced simulation industry. The VP, World-Wide Sales for SVS is responsible for building account relationships with our integrator partners, while continually looking for ways to expand the market share of our systems across military and civilian simulation and training markets.


Develop and own Business Unit (BU) bookings goals and ensure an ongoing growth strategy.

Maintain strong customer relationships and organize the enterprise to respond to customer issues, when they arise.

Develop strategic account plans and implement those plans in collaboration with the rest of the BU leadership team.

Develop the BU strategic plan and direction, and collaborate with the BU leadership team and operating unit leaders to implement activities in accordance with the strategic plan.

Develop and implement key capture strategies and tactics to promote SVS and influence funding for key programs.

Define negotiation strategies and execute on those strategies to ensure the most favorable business outcomes for SVS.

Foster understanding across the BU team of our market segments, trends, competitors, and emerging markets.

Own the annual bookings budget and revenue forecasting process.

Monitor the Simulation and Training industry to find and evaluate acquisition targets, which either give SVS additional content, technology, or access to markets.

Travel as required, up to 50%, or more at given times, including international.

Ensure compliance to Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Department of State International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above.

Understand and live by Esterline's ethics and business conduct policies.


Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business. MBA preferred.

15 year's of sales experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry (overall) or 5-10 year's experience in the Simulation and Training industry.

Willingness to reside in the Dayton/Columbus/Cincinnati Ohio area (relocation package available).

Proven success in leading a global Sales, Product Management, or Marketing department, using strong coaching skills.

Strong people leadership skills and experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Outstanding planning and organization skills.

Must be US Person.
