Job Description:

Technology Risk Management's (TRM) mission is to help ensure senior management has defined technology controls that protect our clients, our firm and support the achievement of firm-wide business goals. TRM partners with senior management, Information Security, Operational Risk and other control functions to achieve this mission.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a dynamic, creative, results-driven individual with experience delivering programs that protect and enable the business, ensuring secure delivery of services to clients, and that address the risks presented by an evolving threat landscape and regulatory expectations. The role requires solid analytical, technical, and communication skills. Ideally, the candidate should be cognizant of Risk Management practices and have the ability to foster positive working relationships

Responsibilities:

Establish parameters, processes, and guidelines to assist BlackRock software development and technology teams to identify, understand and manage cyber risk through control education, thematic risk reviews, established frameworks, policies and standards

Assist stakeholders in identifying and evaluating administrative, technical, and operational security risks, threats, weaknesses and vulnerabilities associated with information systems

Assist with the identification, assessment and management of cyber risk and control responses to risks and engagement with relevant control and governance committees

Provide cyber security technical advisory services regarding Federal industry and leading practices, relevant strategic initiatives, and emerging technologies/trends

Stay updated on Federal policies, regulations, FISMA compliance and standards, and cyber security requirements

Monitor ongoing firm-wide cyber security controls to ensure they are performed timely, accurately, and effectively

Engage with firm-wide risk and control groups, including Business Risk Management, Operational Risk and Internal Audit

Drive closure of technology issues and actions resulting from internal audit, regulatory reviews and external audits; work with action owners to gather and evaluate appropriateness of evidence

Requirements:

5 years of experience working in a Technology Risk, Cyber Operations (Command Center), Cyber Security or related field (Asset Management industry experience preferred)

2 years of Cyber security experience or 2 years of Network Security and/or Sys Admin related experience

Familiar with Application and/or Vulnerability testing

Proven ability to manage issues through to resolution

Strong project management, negotiation, analytical and organizational skills

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively

Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Ability to successfully multitask and complete difficult assignments within deadlines which may have short lead times

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
