Vice President, Corporate Strategic Marketing

Esterline has created a new global executive marketing role to grow our customer footprint and key customer relationships. You will partner with the peers to this role, the Esterline Platform Presidents, to develop and deploy a consistent and comprehensive marketing strategy across Esterline’s major accounts.

In this role, you will utilize market analysis and trends data to develop winning business strategies leveraging the strengths of Esterline’s established business niches to ensure we go to market as a combined organization. The ability to create and lead effective cross platform marketing efforts in a heavily matrixed environment will be critical to the success of this role. This role works under the direction of the Segment Presidents and will be located in Bellevue, Washington at our corporate headquarters.

What You Will Do:

Partner with the Platform Presidents to support enterprise drive for organic growth faster than the market

Support the Platform Presidents to close new business with key international customers

Develop corporate strategies to coordinate new business pursuits across the enterprise on large new programs

In conjunction with the Platform Presidents or their delegates, lead negotiations on corporate-wide customer agreements

Facilitate the activities of the Executive Sales Council (ESC), which is comprised of the Platform Sales VPs, to achieve organic sales growth by ensuring the platforms join

together to drive sales synergies.

As the leader of ESC, develop a “macro plan” with your team, drive swim lanes with improvement targets while ensuring that corporate strategic marketing activities are harmonizedith the platform growth stragies and sales activies. Report to the executive team every six weeks at the Corporate Policy Deployment Review (PDR).

Develop a monthly enterprise market intelligence and informati

on report for the use of the corporate and platform leaders (similar reports are done at some the platform level now).

Develop and provide guidance, to ensure consistency, to our platforms for all needed forecasting parameters for the annual SBS/FRQ2.

Using the SBS data, support (program manage) the executive team in the development of the Esterline Strategic Plan Update for the Board of Directors.

Be the executive focal for the annual airshow planning and execution (Paris and Farnborough).

What You Will Bring:

15 years of progressively responsible professional experience in industrial sectors

10 years of experience in aerospace and defense sectors preferred

5 years of senior management experience engaging in market and SWOT analysis

10 years of experience overseeing global marketing efforts for multinational aerospace and defense or industrial manufacturers

Bachelor’s Degree required with an MBA or equivalent strongly preferred

Experience organizing major customer events and leading the marketing and organizational efforts at trade shows and air shows

Experience developing and maintaining a modern, customized product marketing brand

Experience driving business results through a cohesive marketing design and marketing

Proven Leadership with effective verbal and written communication skills

Proven program management skills and experience working across multiple business units

Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook

Ability to compete in a fast-paced environment

Familiarity with ITAR and other global defense government requirements

High integrity and loyalty to the company

Position requires domestic and international travel approximately one to two weeks a month.
