Job Summary

Reports to the EVP & President of Large Accounts (National Accounts and National Property). Partners with Home Office and Field management teams to drive highly effective sales and marketing practices, well positioned product and services and active broker relationship management that produces profitable growth.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

Lead the ongoing development and maintenance of a cohesive marketing strategy in collaboration with the field that reflects the competitive condition in the marketplace, respects differences in regional territories and protects the integrity of product and service offerings.

Lead client stewardship services for Large Accounts to ensure field leadership implements the model and linking the indications we make at new and renewal with the results/outcomes profiled at stewardship.

Build effective, pragmatic marketing materials, tools and presentations that support Field operations need to make value added product “real” for an individual customer while reinforcing institutional themes.

Insure that Managers, AEs and Service Partners are continually building knowledge and skills in Marketing, Sales, and Negotiating through formal training interventions, as well as meetings, projects, and other informal opportunities.

Champion National Accounts and National Property work with other Travelers business units to improve customer level product penetration, linkage of underwriting and service product elements, and creation of more opportunity for the place.

Lead relationship management at the home office level of major producers. Engage them in National Accounts and National Property collective results, strategies, issues and opportunities. Be an effective liaison when they want help while always recognizing that individual risk authority rests in the field.

Direct and manage National Accounts and National Property presence at key external Industry events (i.e. RIMS) as well as Travelers sponsored events.

Participate in strategic development of Information Systems to insure they support National Accounts and National Property business, customers, people and priorities. Improve sales management information as well as use of push technology to ease access.

Leverage National Account and National Property success in each area of responsibility through effective communication and sharing with Home Office team and Field regions. This includes identification of production trends, broker issues, success stories and market opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, underwriting or related field is required.

Identifies MD, AE, Broker and Buyer needs and takes appropriate action to meet those needs.

Experience effectively managing direct and indirect reports.

Physical Requirements

Incumbent will work in a typical office environment.

Travel 10%-15%
