JOB SUMMARY

This role is responsible for setting the strategy, vision and managing the day-to-day tactical operations of the NA Claim Finance and Business Intelligence teams. This position leads the team in establishing and executing a vision for the delivery of information and analytics platforms and solutions to key stakeholders.  In addition, this position is responsible for leading the budgeting, planning and forecasting process for the North America Claim organization while providing operational and strategic support of organizational improvement through resource management. 

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Intelligence – Partner with a variety of internal partners to solve business problems, provide strategic insights, and improve claims management experience through data mining, analytics and reporting tools. Lead as the BI subject matter expert and thought leader in the areas of BI reporting, key metrics, strategy, and best practices

Finance – Develop and maintain North America Claims operating budget.  Provide budget and expense consultancy support for Claims Senior Management in support of managing to operational and strategic goals.  Understand budgetary needs and issues across the entire Claims Organization.  Approve Claim expense transactions within authority.

Claims Resource Management - Examine, analyze and present sensitive information including budget, staffing, expense management and Senior Management reporting.  Participate on cross functional staffing models and position management projects.  Drive the Vacancy Rejustification Approval process.  Produce various ad hoc reports and develop financial models to address issues.

Participate and collaborate on cross-departmental and functional projects and initiatives in support of organizational efficiency.  Provide expertise, advisory support and manage teams as needed.  Effectively collaborate with team, provide recommendations and execute strategies, as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

10 years of budgeting and/or financial management experience required.

A minimum of seven years’ experience in Data/Business Intelligence or Big Data technologies required

Experience deploying business intelligence reporting tools to provide business insights.

Ability to prepare, present and analyze financial planning models in support of claim organization initiatives. 

Demonstrated ability to partner with individuals at all levels within the organization

Demonstrated strong project and time management skills.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task as needed.

Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.

Strong influencing and negotiation skills.

Experience with Data Visualization tools sets – Qlikview/QlickSense, Tableau, PowerBI , etc.

Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Math, Statistics or equivalent experience; Advanced degree preferred
