VP, Account Group Supervisor - Parsippany, NJ

This is a unique opportunity to run an exciting Animal Health account. You have a passion for consumer advertising and experience in pharma. You don’t need experience in Animal Health but a love of cats and dogs is a plus.

This position is to oversee brands marketed by Zoetis, a leading animal health company. You will be running brands including one of the company’s star brands that has significant DTC, Digital and Social marketing. Most of the work will be directed to dog and cat owners, though there will be some direct to veterinarian work as well. The account is run out of our Parsippany office and you will be supported by a multi-discipline team in including planning, digital engagement and creative. Experience in running a large brand and working proactively with partner agencies (media) and other client agencies is needed. Multi-channel experience should include: TV, Digital, CRM. Social experience will also be valued, but not a mandatory. As the account lead you will provide strategic oversight as well as work hand in hand with the client on the day to day brand needs. You will also be working with the broader team of other Zoetis brand leads to ensure information sharing and consistency of deliverables and workflow.


Plans, coordinates and directs advertising campaigns for agency clients. Identifies and addresses changes in marketing environment, submits proposals including competitive review and yearly tactical and strategic plans. Anticipates client needs (short term / long term) and proactively addresses issues.

Provides leadership role for client and agency product teams.

Responsible for the strategic development and implementation of integrated marketing programs. Ensures that all professional activities are in line with the agreed upon strategic direction.

Reviews creative development to ensure it adheres to the highest quality standards and communicates against strategy and objective across all communication channels.

Serve as primary team interface with client marketing managers

Strategy liaison with client on brand and business issues working in partnership with the agency planner

Leads and supervises all activities between agency departments on the team

Reviews monthly and quarterly financial tracking reports with finance leads


Supervises account services team and monitors their performance both with their client counter parts and internally with other creative, strategic, and operational departments. Distributes projects and reviews their progress continually to ensure professional growth is attained.


Excellent communicator with especially strong writing skills and experience presenting strategic and tactical plans to senior management

Confident and organized individual who is able to apply their experience in order to provide insights and recommendations to clients

Ability to work in team environment fostering ideas through integration and inclusion

Sound financial skills – has prepared budgets, staffing plans, and statement / scope of work plans


B.S. or B.A. in Marketing / Advertising or related area

7-10 years in


and/or Marketing experience, DTC and HCP experience required

Experienced manager who can effectively lead a team

Launch experience strongly preferred

Global experience a plus

Dermatology or Rheumatology experience a plus
