Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) is currently seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer in support of V-22 Software Sustainment Activity. The candidate will support V-22 Sustainment and Raytheon product development and will be a key resource to the NAVAIR and USMC customer as a subject matter expert for the sustainment development of various candidate products and systems. The Systems Engineer will participate in V-22 Systems Engineering development efforts in support various functional areas, providing sustainment support and subject matter expertise. Responsibilities of this position include developing strategic products and technologies and directly supporting USMC technology refresh efforts including software upgrades and modifications as well as functional expertise on legacy equipment. This position involves working in a team environment providing technical expertise to drive the modifications and improvements to the V-22 Aircraft Systems, as well as data analysis and issue resolution for V-22 Problem Resolutions and the development and integration of proposals for new efforts. The person filling this requirement will have a strong background MV-22 operations and some experience in MV-22 maintenance.

Clearance Requirements:

Secret Level security clearance.

Location:

IIS, Indianapolis, Indiana.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Perform various systems engineering activities for sustainment of the V-22 Osprey-s software updates.

Work with external industry and Govt. stakeholders in the resolution of V-22 problem resolution.

Identify and execute strategies to improve the aircraft-s overall operation.

Work within and coordinate systems engineering activities across the customer, supplier and internal IPT.

Assist in creating and maintaining V-22 Technical Roadmap.

Assist with platform obsolescence architecting and integration.

Assist the customer (PMA-275/USMC) in V-22 problem resolution and with contractor and vendor technical management.

Perform System Engineering, test coordination, and test execution duties on behalf of PMA-275/USMC.

Development of V-22 Fleet Support opportunities.

Required skills:

Experience establishing and maintaining working relationships with all levels of an organization, including customer, users, and other peer groups.

Experience facilitating cross organizational solutions in response to diverse objectives with ability to influence others to achieve technical and programmatic goals.

In-depth knowledge of related platform systems - mission planning systems, display systems, EO/IR systems, EW systems and various V-22 Avionics systems.

Experience in preparing management level briefing and summary explanations.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills and negotiation skills.

Demonstrated ability to communicate across and IPT, with customers and with other program teammates.

Demonstrated ability to lead Systems Engineering teams and to coordinate with multiple functions and multiple external customers and partners.

Systems Engineering process and discipline knowledge and experience in application of such to both software and avionics development and sustainment is required.

Ability to work as a self-motivated individual and within a collaborative team environment.

Ability to prioritize workload in a multi-tasking, resource constrained work environment.

Experience and Background:

Familiarity with USMC and MV-22 requirements allocation process and operational leadership personnel.

Experience as an USMC fleet representative or deployed service member. MV-22 operational squadron experience is strongly desired.

Established strong relationship with the USMC V-22 community.

A strong background in Systems Engineering including MBSE, Systems Requirements, Systems Development, Integration and Testing.

Required Education:

6 years experience with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Aeronautical, Computer Engineering-.)

4 years of experience with a Masters in Engineering or Science desired.
