Learn more, and start doing your life's best work.(sm) Primary Responsibilities:Hire and manage clinical UM operations team, which includes medical and behavioral health professionalsSet team direction, resolve problems and provide guidance to members of the team to ensure they meet the established performance metrics and goalsTake a lead role in developing and participating in new program initiatives and innovationsAdapt departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challengesServe as a coach, mentor and advocate for staff in their development and trainingAdhere to ethical, legal / regulatory and accreditation standards to meet business goals and objectivesCreate an environment that supports change and models accountability for staffTrack and report performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvementConduct team meetings, auditing, and implement performance improvement plansUnderstand and use data to manage the team as well as individual performanceParticipate in meetings with state customer, providers, and other stakeholders Required Qualifications:Master’s degree or higher with a concentration in social work, psychology or other mental/social health discipline with current state licensure as an independently licensed clinician in good standing OR RN with current state licensure in good standing, with Bachelor’s Degree or higher and 3 years behavioral health experienceMust be eligible for RN or independent behavioral health clinical licensure in the state of WyomingPrevious UM experience, including experience using national clinical guidelines (e.g., MCG, ASAM, etc.) and the ability to differentially diagnose Previous leadership experience with direct reports, with the ability to partner with staff to build high - performing teamsProficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint to include the ability to create documents and spreadsheetsPreferred Qualifications:Working knowledge of Medicaid managed care programs and regulationsAbility to work in a fast - paced, ever - changing office environment and handle change wellExperience in integrated healthcareExcellent organization, communication, teambuilding, and time management skillsStrong problem solving and decision making abilitiesExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenCareers with Optum.
