Major Responsibilities:

Join the AAP Digital Products Team and start reimagining the future of automotive retail. Disrupt the way consumers buy Auto Parts and join a fast growing eCommerce team to take on the industry’s biggest challengers.

The Digital Development team is tasked with the ongoing identification of eCommerce improvement opportunities and rapidly developing and deploying solutions that will drive immediate, bottom-line impact. The team will play a highly-visible and integral role in working across the company’s Marketing, Digital, and IT organizations.

As an UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the designs of our web and mobile platforms. Successful candidates will operate in an agile environment, embrace DevOps practices and help mentor other team members as needed.


■ Use business requirements, usability findings and market research to develop scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements

■ Design conceptual wire-frames, high-fidelity mock-ups, information architecture diagrams, interaction specifications, and functional prototypes

■ Develop & promote collaboration and efficiency with use of tools and new methods

■ Translate concepts into simple and elegant user interfaces

■ Present design work to the product team for review and feedback

■ Quickly iterate on multiple design variations

■ Proactively manage your time, expectations, meet deadlines and communicate needs and trade-offs if your schedule is in jeopardy

■ Work independently and collaboratively within a team, and rapidly switch between different projects in an agile environment

■ Understand target users through research and drive toward collecting more data when needed.



■ Bachelor Degree or relevant experience in design, human-computer interaction (HCI)

■ 3 years experience in design UX solutions, interactions or information architecture

■ Proficiency designing and prototyping with tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, Flinto or similar

■ Portfolio or samples demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices

■ Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly across different audiences

■ Proficiency designing and prototyping with tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, Flinto or similar


■ Experience designing customer facing products

■ Experience working in a collaborative team, publicly white-boarding, and working directly with developers for implementation of designs

■ Capacity to own and drive the design process by independently defining requirements, scoping projects and prioritizing tasks

■ Talent for crafting imaginative and innovative design solutions while maintaining user expectations

■ Ability to demonstrate designs with functional prototypes in HTML/CSS, Axure, InVision, Flinto, or similar

■ Understanding of the current state of technology and best practices

■ Strong practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, web-based information architecture and design—understand accepted UX process standards well enough to be entitled to selectively abandon them

■ Demonstrated strong visual design expertise with ability to produce fresh, simple, elegant and exceedingly usable layouts and interactions and iconography
