Position Description

Ally's Treasury Department is a key component of our funding strategy that continues to build a World Class culture that engages a vibrant team of professionals that contribute to the growth and development of our thriving Ally Bank. Ally's Treasury Department includes the Capital Management, Balance Sheet Management, Global Functions and Liquidity, Structured Funding and Bank Relations, Treasury/Capital Markets Operations, and the Treasury Program Management strategic areas of our organization. Our Treasury professionals are responsible for effectively managing the balance sheet capital ensuring that our organization supports profitability and growth.

The Back Office / Treasury Operations Analyst will be responsible for supporting Treasury Operations and associated business partners throughout the organization.

Job Responsibilities

The position will include a rotating responsibility for processing, approving and monitoring wires as well as confirming and settling trades. Trading can include bonds, term borrowings, fed funds, swaps, brokered deposits and other financial instruments as the overall market and Bank strategy adjust and evolve.

The analyst will work in a team environment to recommend, develop and implement best practices and tight internal controls for a regulated entity. Candidate will also participate in projects involving the implementation or upgrade of software or hardware.

Duties within the group include, but are not limited to, management reporting of activity and positions, developing procedures and controls around the position and movement of funds, developing and maintaining relationships with correspondent banks. Other responsibilities can include coordinating intra-day and next day cash forecasting and working with the Bank's lending channels to ensure appropriate funding of the business lines.


BA/BS from a 4yr accredited university required (Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance major is preferred)

3 years' work experience in Finance, Treasury Operations, or Capital Markets is preferred.

Ability to work in teams, adapt to change and multi-task are critical skills.

The ideal candidate will possess initiative, flexibility in daily responsibilities and working hours, strong communication and MS Office skills.
