The Travel Coordinator position is critical to developing and maintaining our relationship with the customer as well as our 1,800 long-term (multi-year) contract employees working in a wide variety of professional health and research related fields. The Travel Coordinator’s performance level is a key determinant in the customer's perception of Kelly; therefore, they must continually strive to meet and exceed customer expectations.

The Travel Coordinator will work as part of the Program Management Team supporting the domestic and international travel program for Kelly contract employees. Responsibilities include providing back-up to the Travel Coordinator to audit new travel request forms and process expense reports in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulation. The coordinator must approach each new travel and expense report with a sense of urgency as many travel requests are last minute and complex in nature. The coordinator tracks all current and upcoming travel and processes travel expense reports to reimburse employees for travel related expenses.

These duties require a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail as well as the ability to provide excellent customer service. The Travel Coordinator must be able to comprehend and function within multiple business disciplines with equal effectiveness. As the Travel Coordinator’s knowledge increases, additional projects and duties may be added.

The key competencies for the Travel Coordinator include the ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, work within the framework of a team and accomplish many tasks simultaneously with a critical attention to detail. Qualified candidates must be able to demonstrate above average skills and knowledge related to the requirements of this position.

Required Qualifications and Experience

A Bachelor’s degree

2-3 years of work experience in a customer service environment.

Detailed knowledge of and the ability to apply the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR).

Excellent computer skills, including expertise with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

The ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.

The ability to work independently, as well as within the framework of a team.

Excellent organization and time management skills.

The ability to multi-task while maintaining great attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Basic Knowledge of the scientific research environment.

Understanding of government contracting rules and regulations.
