Position Description

This position is part of Stericycle’s Environmental Solutions division. The Training Manager’s primary role is to provide training support for Sterivision across multiple business units within Stericycle. Responsibilities include the creation and modification of all training material and related documents. Conducting team member training and support including: in-person classroom sessions, eLearning, webinars, and Sharepoint resources. Periodically the Training Manager will be required to create and deliver training courses which are peripherally related to Sterivision, such as new processes and/or client requirements.

Provide regular training for Sterivision as required through a variety of methods, including classroom, field location and via webinars.

Manage and prioritize multiple course development projects simultaneously. Responsible for creating, publishing, updating and maintaining multiple forms of content.

Conducts workshops with Subject Matter Experts to develop operational competencies for Sterivision to be used to develop training curricula.

Recommend applicable formats and tools available for course development which will promote optimum learning and retention.

Meeting with other members of the training team and various team members in ESol organizations as needed to meet learning objectives.

Develop and deploy LMS-based evaluations to measure training effectiveness and learning. Evaluate education effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement. Test courses to ensure functionality and reliability.

Create, track, and maintain training content and courses, working with content owners; gathering feedback, recommend and drive changes based on feedback.

Position Requirements

Education equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, or the equivalent work related experience.

Demonstrates a strong knowledge of adult learning concepts and effective approaches for facilitating learning.

Demonstrates strong knowledge of operations in transportation, logistics, supply chain, waste management or shipping, resulting from at least 5 years experience in the field.

Must possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate with individuals by phone, e-mail or in person.

Must possess strong organizational skills - must be able to manage, create and maintain documentation as required to meet process requirements.

Must possess excellent problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of business goals.

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and e-learning software.

Must possess knowledge of training development and delivery, including curriculum/instructional design and

development, project management, implementation strategies and measurement.

Must possess the ability to work a flexible work schedule during special projects (including nights,

weekends and holidays).

Knowledge of DEA, OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations, as well as DOT, OSHA and Hazardous waste certifications are desirable.
