Training Manager-Manufacturing

Job Summary
The Training Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering training programs that improve organizational quality, safety, and efficiency for a large manufacturing facility. The Training Manager collaborates cross functionally to prioritize training objectives and then develops training solutions to achieve objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain a cGMP compliant, documented training program.
Conduct new hire safety, quality, and cGMP training.
Coordinate annual safety compliance testing and training.
Identify and assess training needs and determine effectiveness of training programs.
Assist in the creative development and delivery of training programs.
Create and publish training materials using multiple types of media.
Assess and implement ways to effectively utilize our current Training system, while transitioning to a new Learning Management System (LMS).
Assist in providing required documentation during compliance audits.
Become knowledgeable and comply with all company policies, SOP\u2019s and regulations.
Work with outside resources to coordinate cost-effective training programs and solutions.
Secure and maintain sources of training grants and funding, such as Enterprise-Zone Job Training Tax Credits and Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) grant.
Maintain keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices.

Collaborates with HR team members and participates in HR related activities and projects.

Leadership Responsibilities

Works closely with a team of trainers and training coordinators to meet the overall training and development needs of Nutra.
Leads a project team focused on the site implementation of a new learning management system.
Communicate with team members, trainers and management to ensure all needs are met.
Provide opportunities for ongoing development.

Job Specifications

At least five years of experience developing, delivering, and documenting training in a manufacturing environment (cGMP preferred).
Experience implementing or utilizing a Learning Management System.
Previous supervisory/management experience preferred.


Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Management, Business, Human Resources Development, or related a field.


Understanding of adult learning techniques and best practices in blended learning methodologies.
Thorough knowledge of the design, delivery, administration and evaluation of training and development programs.
Creative skills for producing interesting, entertaining and educationally sound training materials.
Engaging presentation skills, with demonstrated excellence in conducting and facilitating training sessions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective   working relationships.
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Extensive experience with presentation software and Microsoft Office applications.
Detailed planning, project management and organizational skills.
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of E-Zone requirements.
