Transaction management involves the capture, validation, confirmation and settlement of transactions instructed by the primary investment manager and any sub advisors. The process begins when we receive transaction instructions from the investment manager via one of several standard message formats. We acknowledge receipt of the instruction and confirm that it has passed the initial validation rules. The next step is for us to enrich and validate the transaction in respect of both format and content, in line with pre-set client requirements.

Solves problems of increased complexity and demonstrates leadership and motivational skills, and the ability to take on special assignments.

 Responsible for the timely and accurate receipt, authentication, processing and settlement of security and related cash transactions to custody and accounting platforms as well as the resolution of data quality, processing, and settlement issues through interactions with accounting, client service, and other internal support teams or external groups.  

Performs the necessary checks on all automated trades and manual trades

Follows escalation procedures to ensure timeliness and accuracy of processing

 Acts as a resource within the assigned business unit to resolve complex or non-routine processing related questions/issues.

Identifies and resolves problem trades, ensures that the resolution is well-documented and communicated to appropriate parties.

May cover for supervisor and participate in special projects

Prepares, completes, and reviews various standard reports

Interacts with external and internal parties to resolve various trade questions and discrepancies.

Trains new hires and more junior staff.

Performs various daily tasks within the business unit as necessary to support processing routines

 Responds to inquiries regarding problems and requests

Documents and tracks calls

Provides recommendations for improvement in processing/procedures

Qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a business related coursework or equivalent.  B.S. in Accounting preferred

Minimum 3 year of related experience in custody, fund accounting and/or trade processing

Knowledge of financial securities markets, language and products as well as legal and regulatory requirements

Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, and spreadsheet proficiency. 

Strong analytical and organizational skills 

Ability to prioritize assignments under tight deadlines

Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both verbal and written forms.

Strong knowledge of domestic, foreign, derivatives and complex securities trade processing and settlement
