As part of a Facilities Maintenance Team, the Tool Crib Material Control Analyst will provide operations & maintenance customer service support within the maintenance, repair and operations inventory storeroom.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs analysis on material usage and identifies opportunities to improve overhead inventory levels.
Performs pricing analysis on stock and non stock materials, parts, tools, and equipment.
Conducts inventory and cycle counts on Facilities parts and materials.
Reviews material lists for accuracy to include parts types and quantities.
Develops, updates, and maintains inventory min/max levels according to vendor lead times, department usage, and other factors.
Assists Facilities personnel in finding and checking out needed parts and materials utilizing the handheld scanner (MMS – Material Management System) and other tracking systems.
Orders, Receives, verifies, and stocks all materials and quantities for overhead stock and project purposes.
Develops processes and methods which organize and maintain the Crib and Materials in a manner that maximizes efficiencies.
Enters order information into Facilities Management database to track price and use levels.
Utilizes systems and processes to develop departmental reports for executive summary.
Maintains a strong work relationship with Maintenance and Facilities Personnel as well as all Engineers, Technicians, Tool Room personnel and Mechanics to insure strong communications concerning any and all parts requirements/concerns.
Ensures established processes are followed, i.e. forms are complete, accurate, & timely (includes consumption, issues, stock out, cycle counts) etc.
Reconciles material orders with Service Requests and appropriate charge codes.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
5 years of increasing levels of responsibility and experience in ordering materials to support a maintenance function, and relevant education or certifications applicable to position.
Valid US driver’s license
Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience in supporting a maintenance department a plus.
Self-starter who can demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Ability to follow, modify and create processes.
Experience with Lean, 5S or other Continuous Process Improvement methodologies.
Able to prioritize work based on customer need and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Familiarity with the principles of inventory management
Ability to utilize MSOffice, familiarity with material management systems (MMS) or related software highly desirable.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Must have exceptional customer service skills and the ability to negotiate “win win” outcomes.
