Knowledge in selecting methods and techniques for in-depth test solutions that are self-contained, well documented, maintainable and reusable. Executes complex tests according to plans and scripts, documents problems in HP ALM, and retests software corrections to ensure problems are resolved. Creates test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow. Identifies, recommends and implements changes to enhance the effectiveness of quality assurance strategies. Interacts with senior internal and external stakeholders.The Telecom Design Engineer will be responsible for LTE feature analysis and test; including but not limited to multiple antenna techniques, RAN parameter optimization, LTE Advanced, and 5G technologies.  A successful candidate must be able to research RAN features, translate them into test methodologies, and build consensus around optimal test scenarios and results interpretation.   Other activities will include but are not limited to Specification of test equipment and lab requirements in collaboration with stakeholder teamsActively participate in test data analysis to ensure successful execution of test and validation of corresponding feature functionalityTroubleshootingSupport FIT teams with MOPs, knowledge transfer, software upgrades and reproduction/troubleshooting of FIT issues if they can be reproduced in the labMaintain lab environment and testbed configurationBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree and four years related work experience or eight years related work experience post high schoolThree years experience with research, design, planning and development of new advanced network technologies, network components and radio frequency (RF) and/or wireless transmissionTwo years project management and project implementation experience Preferred QualificationsIdeal candidates: Must have three years of experience with Radio Access Network (RAN) testingMust have two years of experience post-processing and interpreting RAN test resultsMust have three years of experience setting up lab test environments to meet test objectivesMust have two year of experience writing test strategies and test plansMust have two year of experience troubleshooting problems in a lab environmentAbility to apply testing methodologies to key LTE Advanced and 5G topics and technologies in the labExperience with and working knowledge of lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, channel emulators, and interface sniffing tools (e.g. XCAL, QXDM or Wireshark).Experience in test automation and scripting languages, including PythonAt Sprint, we're more than just talk.
