JOB SUMMARY: The role of the Technical Account Manager includes the coordination of 1) the technical design, architecture, and qualification of security solutions to be installed at client locations, 2) the integration of guarding services with access control, cameras, video analytics, remote monitoring services, intrusion detection, and alarm services, 3) client vision and needs to Systems Engineers, Integrators, Technicians and Project Managers, and 4) project and vendor management as needed and/or requested, 5) overall system management through measuring performance against SLA through KPIs.

The Technical Account Manager will be required to work with relevant parties to define their requirements, introduce specific technologies which meet those requirements, design, architect, and qualify proposed solutions, create Visio infrastructure topologies, proposals, and statements of work specific to the solutions to be offered and then present/review them with the customer.
Must be able to research specific technology questions or topics and be comfortable with formal presentations or \chalk talks\ of various technologies.
Will be required to manage multiple projects at onceAbility to pursue and achieve professional certifications will be required.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Design and architect Security Systems to include access control, surveillance, and intrusion detection.
Provide scope of work and design documents
Use Google maps and Visio to create designs which are ready to handoff to engineers
Coordinate with Technology team to ensure smooth hand-off for implementation
Education/Experience:
At least 4 years of previous experience in a project management role with a Value Added Reseller (VAR) and/or a Technology Manufacturer in the Security Systems Industry. AMAG Certification required.
At least 5 years technical experience with security systems including design and architecture
4 year college degree is preferred
Professional certifications (AMAG,Axis, Milestone, Avigilon, Lenel (preferred) etc.)
Technical Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):
Use of Visio and Google Maps for project design
Project Management skills
Ability to pursue and achieve professional certifications (varies according to state but examples include: alarm installer, alarm systems company, security alarm dealer)
General
Ability to manage time and multiple tasks without supervision
Interpersonal skills and professionalism are critical
Good troubleshooting techniques
Ability to demonstrate good judgment and decision making
Working Conditions and Physical/Mental Demands:
Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
Successful passage of background, reference, psychological, and controlled substance tests.
Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
