Department Marketing Statement

Industrial Gas Filtration and Generation Division, Parker Hannifin Corp, specializes in the design, manufacture and distribution of compressed air & gas treatment, on-site gas generation systems and clean air solutions.

Major Duties

Provides technical service support for customers, distributors, and 3rd party support resources. Helps with product support problems, guiding customers through troubleshooting and best approach resolution activities. Escalates issues to the appropriate leader as needed to ensure customer expectation are exceeded. Supports other division functional teams as needed.

Responsibilities

• Participates in Technical Support phone and email queues – for primary customer inquires, as required.

• Develops and maintains a high level of application knowledge and product expertise to support “first tier” technical support or customer care inquires.

• Provides pre/post product application support to our direct sales resources, 3rd party field support resources, distributors, and end customers.

• Communicates with team supervisor for any and all customer applications and inquiries outside of documented technical support databases and protocols.

• Appropriately escalates support cases to engineering or other functional teams as deemed necessary given the specific case.

• Documents support activities and sales leads into our Filemaker database.

• Collaborates with engineering and product managers to improve reliability and serviceability of products.

• Leads and/or participates on special projects, Kaizen events, or high performance teams within various division teams.

• Reviews and collaborates on/create standard work for various processes in the department.

• Project manages product recalls and field retrofit upgrades, from initial customer contact, through repair, and return to customer.

• Provides priority response and experience for “key account” support issues.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in technical discipline is preferred.

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal required.

• Proficiency with MS Office suite required.

• Direct experience in a call center environment preferred.

• Experience with compressed air systems, filtration, and/or gas generation products is a plus.

• Experience with FileMaker Pro a plus.
