Role Summary:

 

The Technical Sales

Representative will be part of a strong team supporting company products and

services at an assigned customer site while meeting customer needs and

requests.  We are looking for someone who is self-motivated has very

strong interpersonal skills, and is able to understand technical training and

processes

of existing refinery chemical process and/or water businessAssist in coordinating projects

of varying complexityHelp provide expertise,

troubleshooting and assistance for customer concernsUpon training, send out weekly

service reports with recommendations for improvementProvide support in identifying

and closing new sales opportunitiesAssist in business reviews,

presentations and attend customer meetings on a regular basisManage chemical inventories and

assist with deliveriesBuild strong relationships with

key customersExcellent communication and

interpersonal skillsUpon training, perform basic

field and laboratory testsWillingness to entertain

customers outside working hours 1 - 2 times per month at company’s

expense 

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

 

Bachelor’s Degree1 year experience in a related

field Pass a drug and alcohol screen

as a condition of employment, as well as participate in a random drug and

alcohol screening programProficient in Word, Excel and

PowerPointAbility to work independentlyValid driver’s license and

clean driving recordSchedule flexibility to allow

for occasional overtime on evening/weekends

 

Desired Characteristics:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry

or Chemical EngineeringRefinery experienceBasic mechanical aptitude
