Position Summary

The Quality Control Technical Representative is responsible for quality oversight during the maintenance, repair and overhaul of JetBlue aircraft during maintenance visits with our Business Partners.

Essential Responsibilities

Attend on-site heavy maintenance review meetings with the maintenance/repair/overhaul (MRO) provider and representatives from JetBlue Maintenance Planning, Materiel Operations, Engineering, and Technical Support, to discuss planned maintenance tasks and address any other issues as necessary prior to the start of each new heavy maintenance check (

Liaise with the MRO or JetBlue Heavy Maintenance Technical Representative for any technical requirements of the service as required

Responsible for the review of the work package prior to signing the Airworthiness Release

Reviews and audits Engineering Orders (EO), Engineering Authorizations (EA), Technical Service Instructions (TSI), routine and non-routine work cards for completeness, technical content, Required Inspection Item (RII), Maintenance Reliability Reports (MRR) and all compliance requirements per the airworthiness agreement and/or the General Maintenance Manual (GMM)

Ensures all JetBlue serviceable parts tags (MX-41) are present for each rotable and repairable component changed during the check.

Perform Receiving Inspection requirements of parts or components

Ensure maintenance is performed in accordance with JetBlue policies and procedures

Ensure all deferred items from the heavy maintenance check are entered TRAX.

Perform CASS audits per JetBlue CASS manual

Approve and sign the Airworthiness Release of the aircraft from the maintenance visit.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma

Ten (10) years aircraft Maintenance and/or Quality Control industry experience

Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate

Valid Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States

Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record from the state of your primary residence that meets JetBlue Airways’ insurance standards

Pass a ten (10) year background check, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check (CHRC)

Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located Preferred Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Maintenance Management

Four (4) years in Supervision Management

Airbus 320/E190 knowledge and experience

One (1) year heavy check experience Crewmember Expectations:

Regular attendance and punctuality

Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion

Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards

Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))

Adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls

Upholding JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understanding how they relate to their duties and responsibilities Equipment:

Computer and other office equipment

Standard Aircraft Inspection tools.

Work Environment:

Combination of office and hanger floor environment, the outdoor environment may present weather variations and elevated noise levels

Requires irregular work hours and demands of your time

Requires travel to different Maintenance Repair Organization providers as the needs of the service dictates, some locations may be in an unstable political environment

Must be able to be on the road for extended periods of time and to cope with and respect foreign customs and cultures Physical Effort:

Position requires extremely strenuous physical work involving objects in excess of 100 pounds occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds frequently. (Very Heavy)
