SUMMARY: The Technical Project Manager—Geographic Information Systems (“GIS”) leads the effort to revolutionize the way the Company interacts with its assets by using data collected by unmanned aircraft systems (“UAS”) coupled with 3D modeling, photogrammetry, interactive cloud based user interfaces (“UI”), and machine learning.  The incumbent will assess the Company’s needs and cost effectively deliver accurate, photorealistic data products for all Company assets in the U.S.  The incumbent interacts with the UAS team, internal and external customers, and vendors to focus on automating point cloud and/or mesh analysis in order to achieve a scalable enterprise solution.  The Technical Project Manager serves as the team’s modeling subject matter expert and provides a UI experience and workflow that results in a net cost reduction for the Company.

Job Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Provide functional and technical expertise for the UAS program in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of UAS data driven UI and deliverables. Deliver cost effective, accurate, photo-realistic, interactive models of the Company’s approximately 40,000 assets by leveraging UAS collected data. Work with the IT department, software providers, and the UAS team to develop time saving analysis automation and user-friendly UIs for employees and customers. Partner with business leaders and customers to identify opportunities for UAS data; determine scope, evaluate requirements, manage implementation, and monitor quality during and post-production. Develop customer-facing data that can be generated using standard internal data collection and processing techniques. Interface with IT to identify, develop, and project manage system integrations to ensure the UAS program delivers an integrated solution. Collaborate closely with the Program Manager, UAS Operations to ensure collected data meets processing and analysis requirements. Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, UAS Operations to build quality and production metrics and ensure requirements are scalable. Establish and maintain strong internal and external relationships to effectively execute on responsibilities. OTHER: Other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None. QUALIFICATIONS:
UAS industry experience and formal education in geology, remote sensing, or surveying or equivalent. Experience delivering an accessible and intuitive product to customers without engineering software experience. Ability to generate, export, manipulate, and display point clouds, meshes, and other relevant data sets in third party software. Experience with third party photogrammetry software and photogrammetry concepts. Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies Ability to understand business and IT concepts and identify the impact of business changes on systems Ability to introduce disruptive technology to a larger organization. Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees throughout the organization to effectively and professionally achieve results Strong follow-up skills; ability to organize applicable timelines and follow up with internal and external customer needs Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast paced environment Strong track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with internal and external customers and vendors. Self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Remote Sensing, Physics, Engineering, or related field required. Two years’ relevant UAS, GIS, modeling or surveying industry experience required. Experience with point cloud manipulation, CAD, and third party GIS and photogrammetry software required. Experience with remote sensing, oblique imagery, and GIS surveying required. UAS knowledge and capture from motion experience preferred. FAA UAS Part 107 Operators Certificate preferred. Certificates in photogrammetry and professional surveyor preferred. Cross-functional experience strongly preferred. ENVIRONMENT: Approximately 90% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.  Approximately 10% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
