The Economic Graph team is a multi-disciplinary group at LinkedIn that blends Economic Research, Analytics, Public Policy and Civic Engagement. We are looking for a passionate, authentic, and dynamic Researcher to join the team. As an Economic Graph Researcher, you will strategize with the regional leaders around leading areas in the Future of Work (FoW) space, and help to identify policies that the company can align as we become a definitive thought leader in the Future of Work space.
Research and draft LinkedIn FoW policies that may be utilized across regions and around the world.
Deliver research findings to internal and external constituencies and make policy recommendations.
Identify areas where LinkedIn data is unique, compelling, and may be impactful at country and global levels, and communicate these policies to internal and external stakeholders.
Work with cross-functional partners within the Economic Graph team, and other business lines, to share insights and support the thought-leadership of our team.
Foster collaboration with internal partners to translate insights into actionable recommendations that inform execution.
Work with the team as needed when they design and conduct user research studies, including surveys, in-depth interviews, field studies, focus groups, and concept/prototype testing
Work in partnership with other researchers and organizations within LinkedIn (e.g., data analytics) to create comprehensive and coordinated research strategies that triangulate data from different sources/methods to develop recommendations
Cleverly deliver research findings with strong policy recommendations.
5 years of experience with research, tech policy, and workforce systems.
Experience working in the technology sector or workforce-related space.
Strong knowledge of the global workforce system, privacy, tech policy and future of work issues.
Experience working in the technology industry, preferably with an understanding of the core tech policies.
Experience with analyzing data and deriving insights for developing policy proposals
Experience working in a highly cross-functional and dynamic environment.
Ability to communicate with external partners about the policy priorities of the team.
The ability to quickly tailor and design effective, appropriate research deliverables within a short period of time.
Authored or co-authored publications and other research in the fields of tech policy and workforce systems.
Working knowledge of secondary research methods, including desk research, market research firms and other vendors.
Self-motivated and execution-oriented. Ability to execute at a high level of quality in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Ability to create compelling presentations and confidently convey insights through storytelling.
Familiarity with quantitative methods preferred.
Excellent sense of humor, flexible by nature, comfortable with ambiguity.
Self-starter and motivated to impact communities through the use of data and analytics.
