Acts as a technical reference within the Customer Service Department while functioning as a liaison between LabCorp and its accounts in response to inquiries and problems. Evaluates new procedures on methods under direct supervision of department supervisor or group leader. Assist in training and orientation of personnel as assigned.

LabCorp is seeking a Customer Service Technician in the Hospital Customer Service department in San Diego! This first shift position will have the hours of 9:30 am -- 6:00pm, Monday - Friday. The candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and have a solid understanding of the ins and outs of a laboratory.

The functions of the Customer Service Technician position will include, but will not be limited to the following:

Responsible for answering incoming calls and providing requested information.

Communicating to our Hospital clientele.

Ability to learn the different reporting systems, and walk clients through any problems.

Finding sources for send-out testing and working with interface issues

Working closely with other departments in the laboratory

Prior Technical laboratory experience strongly preferred

Available to rotate weekends/holidays/evenings as required
