The Finance Division of Edward Jones is seeking a highly-motivated accounting and finance professional with the potential and desire for continued career growth to lead a team in the Expenditure Management Department in the Finance Division.  The mission of the Edward Jones Expenditure Management Department is to lead the development, governance and execution of the planning, controls, processing, payment and reporting of firm and branch expenses.

Expenditure Management

This role will be responsible for a team focused on vendor set-up, maintenance and reporting.  This team ensures (i) appropriate records are received to support the establishment of a vendor payment across multiple systems, (ii) vendor records align with IRS data, and (iii) vendor tax reporting is completed timely and accurately for both the US and Canada.  The team partners on a regular basis with branch teams, the vendor supporting branch leasing, internal business owners, Finance Systems, Legal and other Expenditure Management teams.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in related field.  CPA or advanced degree preferred.

Minimum 8 years relevant experience with demonstrated leadership skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize multiple initiatives/tasks while also completing regular responsibilities.

Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external parties including associates, leaders, and other business areas. 

Ability to analyze a broad range of business problems and to develop and present proposed solutions in a clear and concise manner.

System aptitude, with the ability to understand key systems supporting team processes.
