IT Systems Analyst Senior

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Systems Analyst Senior interested in being part of the Service Management Team on the Commercial Lines Platform. As a System Analyst Sr. you will be a member of a team of analysts that is continuously working to advance the service management discipline throughout the Commercial Lines platform, provide operational support to the Commercial Lines platform and Business Partners, access and analyze existing systems to ensure availability, efficiency and quality. Also you will deliver application enhancements or configurations to grow the Commercial Lines business, and prepare the organization for the development of new business capabilities enabled through the delivery of new systems and technologies.

Commercial Lines Systems Analyst responsibilities include:

• Leading platform SM Services including Incident, Problem, Knowledge, Continuity, Release, Request and Service Level Management

• Operational/Production Readiness and service transition of project deliverables to operational support

• Facilitating platform adoption of and adherence to enterprise service management standards delivery of IT services to effective problem closure of service levels

• Support application production availability

• Manage Known Error Inventory and remediation process (maintenance release)

• Manage platform knowledge documentation, including standards, processes, and systems documentation (ex. KBAs)

• May lead platform RTB and platform discretionary projects

• Identifies and implements process improvement initiatives

• Delivers request fulfillment services

• Platform liaison to the Commercial Lines Business - Commercial Lines Tier 2 ASPS


• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Math, Information Systems) and four years of related work experience; instead of a degree, six years of related work experience

• Work experience includes designing, developing, programming and/or supporting IT Systems and applications

• Technical aptitude and in-depth knowledge of IT technologies, software applications, programming languages, and adjacent systems and data exchanges

• Analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to investigate, assess and recommend solutions

• Knowledge of industry tools and techniques used to elicit, prioritize, organize, document, model and analyze technical requirements

• Interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with others

• Listening, verbal and written communications skills

• Ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities

• Organization skills with the ability to work on multiple projects and/or assignments simultaneously

• Negotiation skills with the ability to find successful resolutions for moderately complex issues

• Ability to coach and help others learn knowledge or skills in a specific area

Preferred Skills:

• Proven experience in Service Management

• Knowledge of the Duck Creek platform and/or working with software vendors

• Experience in Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)

• Understanding and documentation of Business Process Modeling

• Proven experience with working with external service providers to deliver products, service levels, and strategic direction to Progressive

• Proven experience with the implementation and on-going maintenance of vendor package solutions

• Project experience as Technical Solution Owner (previously Solutions Architect)

• Experience in assisting Domain Architects in developing platform roadmaps (Technology, Process, and Capability Delivery)

• Proven track record of working with Enterprise Architecture Organization, Enterprise Technology Services, IT Control, Enterprise Project Management Office, and Applications organization

• Familiar with Progressive Project Management practices and processes to ensure SM service transition integration.

• Proven analysis skills

• Proven ability to lead organizational process improvement initiatives
