As a System Architect at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be chartered to identify, define, and develop new and innovative memory products and market strategies as a leader as well as generate new profitable growth opportunities. You will work with a senior, highly focused team with diverse expertise to develop system capabilities for processing near memory. Responsibilities will include working with memory design engineers, ASIC engineers, and systems and computer architects, software and firmware engineers. Additionally you will:

*Propose and Architect New Memory Subystems. *Design and Develop very low-level firmware and/or microcode and associated system hardware for new memory technology. *Assist with the definition of a new Instruction or Command Set and in the design and specification of a dedicated Microcontroller embedded within the memory technology. *Create new products, consumption, and markets, through the application of innovative memory architectures and technologies. *Generate new intellectual property and patents. *Assist with the development of appropriate simulation tools/environment. *Construct or modify component models including memory devices, controllers, processors; verification, generating or acquiring relevant workloads. *Construct performance monitoring means (e.g. energy, cycles, statistics gathering, etc.). *Create timing approximate and cycle accurate models as well as analyzing the performance results and provide guidance as far as micro-architecture choices. This will include calibration, integration and documentation of the models into larger SoC level performance models. *Write Verilog to implement various processing structures as defined by the new memory architectures. *Write Verilog to support the development of Verification Test Environments. Run Verification tests and analyze the results. *Run reports of Static Timing Analysis and modify the Verilog designs to meet the required timing constraints.


Minimum Qualifications:


*Knowledge or experience with computer architecture and microarchitecture. *Knowledge or experience with HW systems modeling including development of cycle-accurate models for interconnects and memory controllers in large SoC projects while working in a collaborative environment. *Knowledge or experience with SW systems, programming models, compilers and OS designs including knowledge with runtime systems and/or simulation models in large projects developed in a collaborative environment. *Knowledge or experience with SW development practices. *Knowledge or experience with HDL development flows and processes. *Familiarity to bus performance analysis and design tradeoffs. *Knowledge of architecture tradeoff analysis and modeling tools, commercial and in-house.
