We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager who will operate as a technical lead and key project manager for the Supply Chain department, be responsible for evaluating transportation impacts on strategic projects, and manage Supply Chain process systems utilized for the demand chain planning and logistics functions.

Job Responsibilities

Serve as Supply Chain technical interface on key OxyChem strategic projects. Support logistics analysis for strategic projects which could include acquisitions, divestitures, asset optimization and alternate shipping methods.

Responsible for supporting and managing Supply Chain strategic projects such as the evaluation of alternate modal and terminal asset options, leading asset optimization freight reviews, serving as project manager for process changes that impact logistics.

Support the PVC Packaging Optimization efforts and interface on technical issues with Corporate Engineering, Slay, and Manufacturing.

Drive strategic and tactical metrics reporting and analysis that effectively promotes continual improvement and conduct monthly T&D cost review meetings to identify cost reduction opportunities.

Identify and oversee implementation of business intelligence process solutions relating to the demand chain planning and logistics supply chain functions that enhance performance and improve profitability.

Act as liaison to the Information Technology (IT) organization for demand chain planning and logistics supply chain to determine requirements, manage functional change requests and process improvement projects including integration testing for process system upgrades and patches.

Manage Supply Chain Analyst to design, develop and deploy support tools and models to convert data into information that enables the demand chain planning and logistics organizations to make informed business decisions.

Provide HESS support to Supply Chain group participating in accident investigation for transportation related incidents, serving as coordinated auditor and back-up Special Situations Plan representative for transportation area and interfacing with corporate HESS function regarding technical storage requirements at warehouses and terminals.

Provide technical guidance on regulatory impact to transportation equipment. Assist in the development of railcar specifications, standards and procedures (valving, gasket types, etc.)

Serve as OxyChem’s Supply Chain representative on the Chlorine Institute’s Transportation Issues Team and actively participate on relevant Task Groups.

Manage the Supply Chain Capital planning process.

BS or BA, preferably in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or applicable field of study

Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

10 years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain management.

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Proven ability to influence stakeholders inside and outside the organization

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate or advanced level Excel

Other Desired Skills

Knowledge of SAP

Plant manufacturing and operations experience or related transportation experience is a plus

Able to perform basic financial analyses (lease/buy, cash flow, etc.)
