Hubbell Lighting, headquartered in Greenville, SC, is a core business platform of Hubbell Incorporated. The platform supplies a comprehensive range of indoor and outdoor lighting products to industrial, commercial and institutional applications and is the largest manufacturer of residential lighting fixtures in North America.
The Supply Chain Manager will assist in the development and execution of operational strategies for assigned locations and/or assigned items as it relates to both domestic and off-shore supplied materials. This position will work closely with the Operations/Brand Leadership and internal functional leaders to build strategic operations relations for improved quality and service, reduced costs and process efficiencies, as well as, provide strategic Operations/Brand support. Prioritize and maintain balance between cost of acquisition and cost of possession to maximize return on investment including methodologies to maximize working capital. Assist in the creation of a balanced workload across the Hubbell Lighting brands: Residential, Components and Commercial/Industrial.
\tUnderstand operating conditions:cost structures, demand management, risk, new products and service capabilities within each site or assigned product categorization.
\tResponsible for reviewing operation documents and understanding business terms, service level metrics, fixed/variable cost changes and statements of work.
\tProvide advanced analytical support and appropriate data to assist Operations Leadership in developing their strategies and drive leading-edge thinking.
\tLead/Support supplier sourcing, evaluation and selection, negotiation, performance monitoring, relationship management, and continuous improvement.
\tWork closely with Product Management, Finance, and Engineering, to develop and maintain technology and/or Product strategies.
\tSupport development of Requests for New Product Development (NPD) / Requests for Proposal (RFP), support analysis of RFP's & development of manufacturing location or supplier recommendations based upon RFP assessments.
\tDevelop and maintaining strong global supplier relationships, including supplier site visits and relationships at all levels of their organization.
\tTrack and report on supplier strategies, monitoring spend, business allocation, capability gap analysis and facilitate cross-functional review and evaluation.
\tDevelop strategies for the mitigation of risk in the supply chain, overall and for specific new product programs.
\tBachelor’s Degree required (Supply Chain / Finance degree desirable).
\t5-10 years of relevant experience in business or industry.
\tSupply chain management with manufacturing experience or knowledge preferred.
\tExperience in executing Global Supply Chain initiatives & strategic planning in a matrix corporate environment.
\tExperience in multi-site environment.
\tExcellent communication, project management and relationship building skills.
\tStrong analytical, business process analysis and problem solving capabilities.
\tStrong interpersonal skills & ability to engage and communicate with internal & external stakeholders.
\tHigh motivation and results-oriented work ethic.
\tWillingness to travel as needed (approx. 30%).
\tHighly Capable in Microsoft Excel, Business Objects, HFM and data analytics processes.
\tProficiency in analytical tools and databases, such as Microsoft (Access, PowerPoint, Project).
\tCPSM or APICS certification is preferred.
\tLanguage – ability to speak Spanish will be considered a plus.
