First line supervisor responsible for organizing, planning and leading activities of internal and/or external skilled trades and instrument in day-today corrective and preventative maintenance on Turbine/Generator and related equipment during forced and periodic unit outages at power generating stations. Responsible for coordinating and providing guidance for other groups such and instrument and control technicians, ESO and PERT. Will also be responsible for contract administration of external labor and materials. Key Accountabilities: -Performs or ensures the accomplishment of the following core supervisory functions for a group of (union) represented and non- represented personnel: coordinating and directing the performance of ongoing activities and special assignments, time entry, accident & injury reports). Motivates through leading by example, coaching/mentoring and providing ongoing constructive feedback and systematically eliciting the best efforts & results from subordinate staff. -Leads and coordinates multiple tasks or projects across skilled trades, including vendors and contractors engaged in the construction, maintenance, repair and operation of power generating station equipment. -Supervises all aspects of assigned work; ensures the adherence to appropriate quality and timeliness provisions. -Enforces safe work practices; insures employees are trained in safety and environmental standards. -Ensure the appropriate application of collective bargaining agreement (CBA)provisions; may represent the Company in grievances and arbitration proceedings; fills in for the General Foreman in his absence. -Attends and may chair meetings with internal organizations and external suppliers, vendors and contractors to develop short-and long term plans and meet organizational goals; -Interfaces with internal and external engineering groups on the implementation of projects. -Assumes responsibility as key tag protection leader and/or job leader as outlined in applicable Power Plant Order(s). -Obtains the proper welding spec and supervises the performance of welding work required in the maintenance and repair of power plant equipment, including the welding of metals with electric arc, heliarc, inert gas and acetylene; assembling piping, valves or fittings by welding; Coordinates with welding specialist and metallurgist on developing layouts and fabricating steel plate and structural shapes for repairs to buildings and equipment and insuring inspections are conducted post-weld. -May lead continuous improvement (CI) commitment and systematic CI efforts for a given group(s). -Candidates must be able to travel to South and North Area Power Plants as assigned. -Candidates must be able to work night shift as assigned. -Candidates must be able to work Turbine/Generator related Forced Outage. ','!*!Qualifications:

-Required:  High school graduate, & the knowledge/capabilities typically acquired through 7-plus years of experience in the operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and/or instrumentation equipment typical to a power generating station or like equipment; knowledge of computer-based work management and scheduling processes; knowledge of Microsoft computer applications.
