Strategic Vendor Contract Manager Job

Reporting directly to the Governance Executive of the Technology Vendor Management Office (VMO), you will be a key member of the IT governance team. You will support all contractual aspects of the outsourced services including contract questions/support, mange contract change orders and conforming contracts, monitoring contractual obligation compliance, and issue and dispute resolution and escalation. The position requires a team player who can work effectively across the VMO function, IT Delivery executives, and vendor representatives. You will establish and manage a framework to manage the vendor compliance to contract obligations and deliverables. Major Responsibilities include:

* Provides direction, advice and monitors compliance to contract obligations and deliverables

* Facilitates the contract amendment process with Service Provider

* Leads process for periodic language changes and adjustments to the outsourcing contract.

* Facilitates the resolution of all contract related issues.

* Advise and create positions for issues and disputes based on contractual language and obligations

* Ensures the currency of the official AIG copy of the contracts and associated exhibits and schedules (Conforming contracts).

* Manages all AIG 3rd-party contracts and renegotiations related to the agreement

* Oversees and ensures provider compliance with Agreement terms through calendarization and tracking (e.g. Obligations Register) of contract milestone dates including expiration dates, renewals, deliverable dates, etc.

* Responsible for the Benchmarking/market comparison process working with the Service Provider.

* Clarifies contract questions as required. Determines impact to agreement as result of proposed service changes.

* Tracks proposed and/or pending changes to the contract. Escalates delays in finalizing contract changes.

* Provides contract awareness training internally to major stakeholders as needed.

Job Requirements:

* Undergraduate degree in business administration, supply chain, procurement, sourcing legal, or related field or equivalent experience

* 6 years of experience legal, contract management, and negotiation experience

* 2 years of experience managing significant IT outsourcing contracts for Application Development and Maintenance/Support (ADM) and Managed Services delivery

* Demonstrated understanding of outsourcing agreements and for ADM portfolios of scale ($50-$500M ) in multiple service regions

* Proficient in MS office, including Word, Powerpoint presentations and Excel data pivots

* Must have strong legal writing skills and familiarity with contractual/legal terms

* Must be detail oriented

* Must maintain a positive, collaborative approach with all stakeholders

* Must have excellent oral communication and listening skills
