INVISTA's Performance Solutions business is currently seeking a Strategic Account Manager for a combined territory of Southern California (Riverside & San Bernardino Counties) and Southern Nevada (Clark County). The position will be home-based in the territory and requires a minimum of 65% overnight travel.  The candidate should reside in Riverside Co. CA, San Bernardino Co. CA or Las Vegas NV.    This position is responsible for developing the STAINMASTER® brand flooring business in the above-mentioned markets. The selected candidate will be responsible for driving profitable market share and volume, increasing the number of customers, developing and executing account plans, and knowledge of the STAINMASTER® carpet portfolio and consumer needs in the brand’s product categories.  Additional responsibilities include placement and growth of specific STAINMASTER® platforms and recruitment to STAINMASTER® retail programs.   A Day In The Life Typically Includes: Translate corporate growth strategies into actionable plans which yield STAINMASTER® product growth in excess of the rate of market growth
Train store owners and retail sales associates (RSA) on product and selling techniques.  Educate the retail network about online tools and information from STAINMASTER® brand
Develop and optimize relationships with flooring manufacturer representatives to place product and drive growth
Demonstrate excellent communication skills – writing, presentations, interpersonal and negotiation
Balance time and travel schedule in the assigned territory to maximize the number of touch points with aligned retailers
What You Will Need: Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
2 years’ experience in direct sales, retail, or marketing
Experience with public speaking and training
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel (spreadsheet creation/ editing, formula creation, etc.), PowerPoint (Presentation creation/editing), Word (creating and modifying documents and tables) and Outlook (scheduling meeting invites and emailing) What Will Put You Ahead? Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools– e.g.
Ability to quickly build rapport with customers, understand needs and identify decision makers
Entrepreneurial – takes ownership for generating results in the assigned territory and can overcome obstacles to business growth
