Tetra Tech invites you to consider a rewarding opportunity within our Whitehouse Station, NJ office as a

Staff Geologist .

The ideal candidate possesses the following:

A bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geological Sciences (geophysics, geochemistry, hydrogeology, earth science, or soil science); or Engineering; Advance degree preferred.

Possesses exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Previous environmental sampling experience.

Knowledge of the NJDEP Field Sampling Procedures manual.

40-hour HAZWOPER training certificate.

This position will have field and non-field related responsibilities.

Position requires a minimum of 70 percent field work and/or travel.

NJ candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

Will work with experienced consultants on both office and field tasks.

Potential tasks include soil investigations including soil sampling; groundwater investigations including well installation, development, and sampling; soil and groundwater remediation projects, and environmental assessments.

Tasks will also include assistance with preparation of environmental reports; preparation of data tables and analysis; preparing health and safety plans for investigation and remediation projects.

PositionIntroduction

Qualifications:

One to 3 years of experience in environmental projects such as those listed above.

This position requires selected candidate to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) background check and a negative drug test. The physical demands of this position require the ability to perform field work, including light lifting and maneuvering of equipment, and perform the field work in a range of weather conditions. You must also be able to travel to project sites, as needed.
