PURPOSE:

Develop excellence in the Quality Advancement Global Quality organization (including bearings, sourced product, distribution, logistics, and mechanical power transmission) through the development and maintenance of quality systems. Provide leadership to maintain a high quality profile in the eyes of our customers and shareholders. This position works closely with our operational sites including manufacturing plants and distribution centers, Mechanical Power Transmissions facilities, Supplier Quality Development, Corporate Packaging, Transportation, Strategic Sourcing, Product Management, Engineering, R & D, and members of the Quality Advancement teams globally.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, maintain, and deliver training to facilities and corporate entities for quality systems tools and processes, and maintain training shared documents and SharePoint.

Develop and perform internal business support audits and TQMS audits in facilities; create reports and issue corrective actions as needed; follow up for timely resolution.

Drive complaint management including review of external complaints, internal complaints, and external supplier DMRs through systematic review of problem solving processes, responses, and verification.

Drive quality system and process enhancements to meet business objectives.

Create, deliver, and monitor safe launch plans and processes to distribution sites to ensure customer satisfaction as new products are launched through the supply chain.

Provide communication interface between facilities and support areas to promote the understanding of quality problems, needs, and improvement opportunities. Drive standard processes.

Deploy TQMS modules to sites; monitor results and drive improvements in self-assessment and focused audit scores.

Interface with suppliers, customers, and business personnel to resolve quality issues.

TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:

Basic Industry Quality Systems knowledge: ISO 9001 or equivalent

Basic Timken Quality Management System (TQMS)

Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint.

SAP basic navigation skills

Product knowledge with emphasis on product identification

Process knowledge - basic manufacturing and distribution

Team building skills

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; ability to work in global environment recognizing cultural differences

Learning Agility

REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Minimum: Bachelor - Engineering, Business or IT

PREVIOUS JOB EXPERIENCE:

Preferred: 2-5 years of experience in quality, supply chain, engineering, manufacturing or logistics
