Sr. Manager, Travel Initiatives - Military veterans preferred

The Manager of Travel Initiatives will lead key Travel-related projects and roll-outs for the Company. This role will manage existing Travel programs as well as scope, socialize and lead new initiatives. He/she will quickly be required to become familiar with the Company\u2019s organizational structure and Travel policies in order to be responsive to stakeholder requests and identify new opportunities. He/she will also be responsible for conducting reviews of Travel Policy and reporting, and proposing changes as needed. In addition, the Manager will manage the relationship with our third party travel agency and Travel-related providers including airlines, hotels, ground transportation and event planners. He/she will also be responsible for managing daily resolution of traveler issues.

Serves as project manager for Travel initiatives and rollouts. Coordinates cross-functionally to collect data, obtain feedback and drive project timelines. Leads development of deliverables.
Prepares and presents clear, fact-based presentations to illustrate findings to Executive-level audiences and gain credibility based upon recommendations.
Interacts with all levels of management and is responsible for building consensus around all changes, issues and rollout plans.
Maintains a strong customer service orientation. Troubleshoots traveler issues and provides prompt resolution to questions and requests.
Initiates, develops and maintains company-wide travel policies and ensures compliance in all aspects of travel procedures.
Serves as SME for Travel-related activities.
Defines, develops and delivers reporting processes and metrics related to traveler compliance and corporate credit cards.
Develops and manages communication plans supporting the project; including but not limited to status reporting and socializing communications content with stakeholders.
Leverages peer and industry best practices and benchmarks to make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Responsible for supplier relationship management of travel partners, including oversight of the travel management company, and negotiating and managing contracts with travel suppliers.
Manages Sr. Travel Specialist; is responsible for assuring quality of traveler support and determining the level of direction for successfully completing tasks and requests on-time.
Manages ad-hoc requests as needed.

Bachelor\u2019s Degree required
7 - 10 years\u2019 experience that includes project management
Strong and demonstrated project management and multi-disciplinary experience (Travel category management experience is preferred but not required)
Strong negotiation, influencing and conflict management/resolution experience
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
Ability to successfully influence and drive results through cross-functional partnerships
Ability to communicate complex findings clearly and succinctly, both verbally and written, and lead presentations to senior-level Executives
Proven ability to think strategically and determine the impact of decisions on the business
High comfort level working in ambiguous, rapidly changing situations and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Must be detail-oriented and drive to get things right with minimal supervision

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer. Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc. Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
