Position Overview:

This role leads the transportation optimization across the CCNA Supply Chain in connection to the incremental productivity committed to the business. This role's primary accountabilities are for cost reductions while not impacting the relationship with CCNA’s contracted carriers while maintaining “on-time” delivery performance targets with each of CCNA’s primary business units; Fountain, Warehouse & Bottler. The scope of the work is primarily focused on transportation planning/optimization and carrier performance although also interacts with mid-term planning and plant/3pl warehouse operations. The key operational objectives of this role are to drive operational improvements leveraging KPI’s, customer feedback, and external benchmarking. This role works closely with the Group Director, Transportation, Manufacturing VP, Director of Manufacturing, NPSG, and Customer Service to insure business requirements are met while improving transportation lanes/rates.

Coordinates with a widely-dispersed organization: NPSG, Group Director Transportation, Transportation Managers, Transportation Planners, and clerical for strategic initiatives

Benchmarks across and externally to understand and mitigate key headwinds in transportation

Coordinates with customer service (POM)/customer solutions as it relates to balancing carrier on-time delivery performance versus the strategic productivity commitments

Establishes routines and processes required to manage transportation improvements while maintaining committed service levels

Drives root cause corrective actions for recurring transportation issues and continuous improvement in transportation performance.

Provides input and for national transportation policies and strategies.

Leverages transportation planning systems, tools, and capabilities to obtain maximum benefits for the system.

Develops organizational talent and Logistics bench strength for CCNA Supply Chain

Minimum Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Preference Level: MBA


Minimum Required: At least 7 years of experience of transportation/planning operations and/or supply chain management experience

Preference Level Preference of 10 years of experience of transportation/planning operations and/or supply chain management experience


Managing CBA field-based organizations

Knowledge of transportation planning and execution processes, knowledge of order management processes, Delivers results, process focused, data driven, operational urgency and organizational leadership, internal and external customer focus, outstanding communication and relationship building skills.

Experience and training with CBA management.
