The Information Technology Department has an opening for a Sr. Manager, Content and Collaboration Services. This position is located in Pleasanton, California.
The Content and Collaboration Services Manager is responsible for leading a team responsible for the strategy, delivery, and support of Enterprise Content and Collaboration solutions. Key focus areas include: Content Management, Email and Calendaring, Instant Messaging, Group Collaboration, Project Management, Enterprise Search, and Workflow technologies. Manager also acts as the Service Delivery owner and liaison for SaaS and Cloud solutions such as Microsoft Office 365.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leads planning, service delivery, and financial management for department.
Helps define Content and Collaboration strategy, while overseeing the implementation and lifecycle management of associated solutions.
Works as an expert consultant to business departments, assisting with development of clearly defined business requirements.
Oversees solution designs and establishes associated reusable patterns and integration guidelines.
Develops and maintains standards, procedures and methodologies for effective consumption and support of services.
Manages staff to insure all design, implementation, and support functions are performed adequately.
Ensures performance and availability of services meet SLA's and objectives through monitoring, timely service restoration, and tuning. Strives to continuously improve service metrics.
Participates in the technical evaluation of new technologies.
Partners with Vendor Management office regarding software and tool vendor relationships.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, management information systems, and/or equivalent work experience
A minimum of 10 years prior experience
A minimum of 5 years of technical management experience in a highly complex and large-scale enterprise
Proven experience as a technology evangelist
Significant experience with entire Office 365 suite, along with associated on-premises solutions, including SharePoint, Skype for Business, Exchange, etc.
Strong Active Directory experience
Experience with mobile data management technologies
Strong experience with search technologies
Strong experience with content management technologies
Experience with workflow technologies
Experience with .NET and Java development platforms, including experience leading custom development projects
Strong background and working knowledge of all phases of systems analysis, design, programming, testing and implementation
Strong oral and written communication skills

In 1915, M.B. Skaggs, an ambitious young man in the small Idaho town of American Falls, purchased a tiny grocery store from his father. M.B.'s business strategy, to give his customers value and to expand by keeping a narrow profit margin, proved spectacularly successful. By 1926 he was opening 428 Skaggs stores in 10 states. M.B. almost doubled the size of his business that year when he merged his company with 322 Safeway (formerly Selig) stores and incorporated as Safeway, Inc. Two years later M.B. listed Safeway on the New York Stock Exchange. M.B. did not let the difficulties of the Great Depression dilute his pioneering focus on value for customers. In the 1930s Safeway introduced produce pricing by the pound, adding “sell by” dates on perishables to assure freshness, nutritional labeling, even some of the first parking lots.
