Job Responsibilities


This Sr. Financial Reporting and Technical Accountant position is part of the corporate accounting and external reporting team and includes the following significant responsibilities:


External Reporting

*Assist with preparation of SEC forms 10-K, 10-Q, DEF 14A (Proxy Statement), 8-Ks and other ad hoc internal and external reporting requirements *Support the preparation of quarterly earnings releases and other externally communicated financial information *Draft financial statement disclosures *Review and research accounting guidance for adequacy and completeness of disclosures *Collect data from financial systems and information suppliers (including consolidated subsidiaries), perform calculations and analysis

Corporate Accounting

*Prepare and review components of the cash flow statement *Draft technical memos to document Micron's accounting conclusions regarding accounting issues *Ensure the consistency of subsidiary-company accounting for capital and operating leases *Provide data to internal customers, management, and auditors *Identify potential accounting issues, research applicable accounting literature, and propose solutions to accounting management *Participate in the maintenance, improvement, and documentation of internal controls and internal policies

Special Projects (as needed)

*Provide accounting, analysis, and other support for business transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financing activities *Implement new accounting standards *Lead subtasks of ad hoc projects for cross-functional teams


*Minimum of four years of public accounting or SEC reporting experience *Experience in researching and documenting accounting positions in technical memos *Certified Public Accountant, or actively working towards certification desired but not required


Bachelor's degree in accounting
